Could you not use open office? not sure if that would work but probably would as you can save it as the same format as excel iirc.

No need to use Excel or anything like that.

Just a long list of names, one on each line. The first line is the number of lines of lines.

e.g.

Barnes
Hodge
Smith

Hey Oli, may I ask why the surnames Awan, Romero, Roopnarine, Staple, Reid, etc. appear so frequently in CC09? Surely it's a glitch?

They must be in the names file multiple times I guess, more than other names.

I can't think of any other reason why they'd turn up more than other names.

Are the Netherlands names still in the works?? That'd be great! As would Kenya!

Lots of extra names have been submitted, so CC2011 should have a much much larger variety of 'fake' names.

Are you sure it didn't work? After you make the list, you have to wait for the regens to come after a few months or about a year, and those will have the names of the players from the list you've made. They will not come from the start, because those ones, already in the squad are created players, whereas the list with the names you've made is for regens. I'm not a 100% sure, but I think that's how it is.
